I know I've not posted a lot during this month, I'm actually getting ready for a cake competition which I will be talking more about later. I have so many things to post that I'm a little behind. I had a fabulous time is Las Vegas and I even took some great photos of Jean Philippe Patisserie at the Bellagio and it was amazing!!! more to come later......I do want to share some photos from my nieces birthday which was back in May. ( see that's how behind I'm at posting)
On May 15.11, my niece celebrated her birthday with a Spa day with her girl friends. What better way to celebrate this special occasion with the help of Glama Gal Party.
I didn't make a cake for my niece, instead we ordered the cake! However I did decorate the place and made the signs to go with my nieces colour theme. She wanted everything Purple and Black, but then she later decided that the colours of the candies should be "rainbow" ( I actually talked her out of the purple/black candy theme. I don't think kids like the flavour of liquorice) lol!!
Anyhow, there were too many photos and I had to narrow it down to a few pieces. Hope you all like them:)
....made the sign and the tissue flowers ( yup! found zebra print napkins and made them into flowers!)
Your birthday isn't complete without a candy buffet. By the way, that's an ice cream cake :)
The purple and black continues with the birthday sign!
Personalized jumbo lollipops and colourful gum balls!
The loot bags :) I added the tissue flowers with purple ribbon!
Samantha and Amanda from Glama Gal Party.
Both Amanda and Samantha did an amazing job! The young girls were all ears when these two were talking. They made sure that each girl was looked after and they made the experience all the more enjoyable :)The girls are ready to make their very own flavoured lip balm!!!
....this is my niece who is mixing her concoction!!
These very lucky ladies got to make their own nail polish. Below they are showing off the colours they created!!After the nail polish the girls did each others facials, with the cucumber eye treatment and then a spray of mist to help relax them! It was a fun-filled day and this special young lady will never forget her 1st spa day. Its not everyday that you turn "double digit" and have the spa visit you ; )

Oh wow, how fun!!! And what a beautiful cake, Manni!!!

ReplyDeleteOh my gosh what a beautiful, colorful and loving share today. Sounds as though birthday parties are pretty special in your home. I love it that others like going to the extreme too. It makes for such long lasting memories does it not?
A competition, oh sweetie I have been saying since I met you through blogging, you should be doing something professional, your talents just amaze me. I hope someone in your family will be going along with to catalog each piece along the competition so that we can see too. What fun for you.
I tell you one day you are going to be opening your own bakery. I can see it now, with everyone standing in line to get inside and purchase one of your beautiful cupcakes or cakes. Yum.
I have been away for a couple of Saturdays. Under the weather, but back up today. Hope you are doing well sweetie. I think of you daily when I bake a little something, wondering what you are baking today with such glamour and fun.
Have a glorious weekend and a wonderful Pink Saturday. Many hugs and much love, Sherry
